Reply estimates use a planning average of 3–4 Sparks per cloud chat reply. Actual cost varies with the model, conversation length and feature used; Asiden shows each model’s Spark cost in the app. Voice and vision use Sparks differently.
Why use the cloud?
Your companion stays the same. The difference is where the intelligence runs—and how much room that leaves on your PC.
Cloud chat and vision inference happens away from your graphics card, leaving more of its power available for games, rendering and demanding creative work.
Avoid making a large local language model compete with the task already using your PC. With a good connection, that can mean quicker, steadier replies while your GPU is busy.
Choose from frontier and specialist models for sharper reasoning, richer conversation and stronger visual understanding without needing the hardware to host them yourself.
Move between privacy-focused, roleplay, reasoning and vision models as the moment changes. Both plans unlock the same cloud catalogue; Premium simply gives you more Sparks to use it.
A simple allowance
There is no fixed message cap. Each cloud request uses Sparks according to the model and the amount of context it processes, so inexpensive models stretch your balance further.
Model choice. A lightweight model can cost one Spark for a reply; the most expensive frontier models can cost considerably more.
Conversation depth. A long conversation sends more relevant context to the model, so later or deeper replies may use more Sparks.
Voice and vision. Spoken replies and cloud screen understanding are metered differently from text. Managed voice also has a separate monthly allowance shown in the app.
Unused deposited Sparks roll over while the service remains active, so a quieter month is not wasted.

A plan does not include Asiden itself. Own the app first—either through the $10 one-off purchase or on Steam—then add Plus, Premium or both. Cancelling a plan never removes your local companion, memories or unlimited local conversations.
